The data were collected through online individual questionnaires from May 15 to May 25, 2023. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN ver. 23.0. The general characteristics, political efficacy, self-leadership, and perception of the enactment of the nursing law were calculated as the mean and standard deviation, frequency, and percentage. The analysis was performed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: Self-leadership (β=.26, p=.007) and grades (β=.20, p=.032) were found to be factors influencing nursing students’ awareness of the enactment of the nursing law. Conclusion: In order to increase nursing students’ awareness of the enactment of the nursing law and lay the foundation for improving the political participation of nurses in the future, it is necessary to provide education that promotes selfleadership and enhances academic capacity from the time of nursing students.
